Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) graduates are eligible for PNCB board certification in primary care and can treat patients from birth to age 21 in a wide range of settings. Graduates find employment in hospitals, private practices, school-based clinics, health centers, and tertiary care specialty clinics.

The PNP track consists of 525 hours of direct, hands-on patient care in a pediatric primary care setting under the supervision of a preceptor. Through community partnerships, IUSON offers consistent clinical placement for PNP students. Preceptors include APRNs and physicians within the field of pediatrics. The PNP courses are taught on campus by experienced PNP faculty thereby ensuring quality, oversight, and relationships with students and community-based preceptors.
