Rawlinson nominates Brandee Wornhoff

Hannah Rawlinson wrote

"I respectfully nominate Brandee Wornhoff for the Daisy Award. I have spent greater than 300 hours with Brandee as my preceptor at Hendricks Regional Health. To say she has been influential is an understatement. When I joined Brandee in the Spring of 2018 she was navigating through a project at an executive level that had the potential for being very impactful to her career and future advancement. She excelled under pressure exhibiting poise as she led and represented nursing and our profession. She taught me the importance of the spheres of influence and how the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is so important in establishing a great environment not only for patients and families, but also for nurses, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members. She was my voice of reason when I was frustrated and always provided a rationale for how each event in life is meaningful. At the end of each day we finished with things I learned and discussed how they could be used in my future practice. Brandee not only guided me on my journey as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, but also taught me much about myself. I have grown not only as a professional, but as a person. I recognize myself each day identifying with processes, thoughts, and actions that Brandee taught me throughout our time together. Those 300 hours I spent working, crying, rejoicing with Brandee have been some of the most important hours of my career. I cherish our time spent together and will be forever grateful for the time and effort she put into my development as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. I not only gained an amazing mentor throughout this process, but also a wonderful friend.”
